OATS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that addresses the lack of Measles Mumps and Rubella vaccines in Pune, India. We supply vaccinations to the NGO Project Niramay and work towards improving legislation concerning vaccines. I helped establish OATS as a Rutgers organization and served as its President. Our legislative efforts include a proposed bill that requires parents wishing to exempt their children from mandated vaccinations to get a signed affidavit from a physician illustrating that they have been informed of risks.

•Authored a detailed lesson plan for a 10 week accredited course that introduces incoming Rutgers freshman students to the field of health and medicine•Cultivated a collaborative environment in which a classroom of 30 students discussed solutions to the current healthcare system and methods to succeed in it

My experience as a TI consisted of teaching weekly office hours, workshops, and recitations. During workshops, I developed worksheets with specific topics geared towards exam preparation and remediation.

• Worked as a research fellow though Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program at the Center of Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine• Developed and analyzed genetic clones of the HIV GAG-POL poly protein, which were genetically altered to optimize the expression of the poly protein.
