Bubb Kuyper is the largest specialized auctioneer of books and works on paper of the Netherlands, and one of the foremost companies in these fields in Western Europe. Since employees do not have a specialization, I get the opportunity to develop myself as wide as possible. On a daily basis I come in contact with different subjects, such as old books and incunables, modern books, children’s books, modern art, ex libris, photographs and graphic art. The work activities consist of writing descriptions of items that are up for auction, including a valuation of the price, adding references, choosing the right image of the item to present to the public to increase the change of selling it, make a valuable contribution to the catalogues, answering questions and supervising the work students during the days that the items are on view and some logistic tasks after the auction has taken place.
