About Carlos Vega

Formed in the traditional realm of journalism, my journey has seamlessly transitioned into the digital landscape over the years. This evolution was driven not only by the necessity to stay current but also by my deep-rooted fascination with technology. The convergence of my steadfast dedication to journalism and my fascination with content strategies has sparked an enduring aspiration to lead the charge in pioneering content generation, distribution, and promotion techniques. Combined with my deep-seated affinity for emerging technologies in media and marketing, this drive fuels my commitment to stay at the vanguard of innovation. With an extensive span of 25 years in the professional arena, I've had the privilege to collaborate and contribute to prominent print media entities like Mexico's Reforma and El Universal newspapers, along with Rolling Stone Magazine México. In the digital realm, my experiences have encompassed renowned media companies such as Televisa, Univision, Terra Networks, and Sony Pictures Entertainment.Embarking on my journey with Marsh in May 2016, I assumed the role of Head of Digital Marketing for Latin America. Marsh, a pioneering global leader in insurance brokerage and risk consulting, has afforded me the opportunity to delve into captivating and impactful realms. These areas include multifaceted risks spanning politics, technology, cybernetics, environment, finance, and more. The ripple effects of these risks extend beyond our clientele and the company's business trajectory, reverberating throughout society. It's within this landscape that the diverse content across our digital platforms takes shape.Since joining Marsh, I've encountered and conquered challenges, such as crafting digital, content, and social media strategies from the ground up. The resonance of these strategies has been felt on a global scale within the organization. Additionally, I've been instrumental in nurturing the regional marketing team, a journey that has seen it burgeon from three members to a formidable 20 over the course of seven years. My current purview encompasses the management of 18 websites across Latin America, as well as supervising the strategy and implementation of email marketing campaigns. I actively collaborate in the ideation, execution, and implementation of campaigns, designing and executing customer journeys that guides users from initial interest to engagement to sales.
