I worked as a mechanic in the workshop for 5 years.I was involved with 5-year recertification of mainly drilling equipment like BOPs, Connectors, Annulars, and Failsafe Valves. But also other equipment like XMTs, Hangers, SART, chokes, and C&K Lines.
