While job hopping is often looked at with caution or even derision in our work culture, in my teens and early twenties it was a necessity as I juggled work with school. Over the years, as school years would end and summer breaks would begin, I would enter a new line of work an an industry usually different from the last.This gave me an amazing perspective on work, business, and even life in general, and afforded me the opportunity to truly explore what I wanted to do with my life. In fact, this experience was far more beneficial in developing skill and career path than higher education itself would prove to be.After trying my hand at landscaping as a teenager, I eventually found myself in jobs such as roofing, line laying, and general construction in my early twenties. Eventually, I broadened my horizons and began to find corporate and office work. I gained a mind for business and operations working with small business owners directly.After gaining work experience as an operations coordinator and assistant manager, I determined the direction I wanted to take. I returned to the construction industry as a carpenter to develop an in-depth knowledge of building, so that I may one day own my own business.After moving to Delaware in the late summer of 2020, I did just that.
