I’m a problem-solver with a passion for building simple, sharp tools. I’ve built tools ranging from compilers and virtual machines to editors and full-blown integrated development environments, from big data visualization toolkits for non-programmers to real-time traffic monitoring. I’ve used and am using a variety of technologies, and helped maintain a few of the ones you might have used or heard of. I’ve lead teams and managed companies, and while I don’t particularly enjoy the latter, the former sparks joy in me. I’ve helped tech investors in making decisions through data, and founders in navigating the fun world of getting funded through sharpening both their products and their narrative. I’ve worked as a contractor, as an employee, and as a stakeholder. Most recently I’m diving back into Research and Development through my role as Developer Experience crafter at feenk, where I get to think deeply about tooling, and build and tinker with novel toys and tools all day every day—and I couldn’t be happier!Long story short, I’m a generalist with a wide variety of interests in computing. I love learning about the technical and the human sides of our craft as well as teaching others once I have something to contribute.
