Born in Moyamba Town, Sierra Leone, Velache Coker was determined to become a professional footballer. But after some false starts, he found himself pursuing entrepreneurship.By the age of 19, Velache had started 3 businesses. Most of them have been discontinued, but one remains – Canaan Farm. Canaan Farm is an agritech logistic company that create market and informal logistic services to smallholder farmers.Velache Coker was selected by Anzisha Prize in 2019 as Africa top 20 very young entrepreneurs, he is also a national youth representative at the African Economic Conference in Sharma El-Sheik , Egypt 2019. He is a speaker at the Sankalp Economic Forum, this experience are insightful and help him became a role model for entrepreneurship and human capital development.
