I am an educator with teaching experience in K-12 classrooms working with urban, suburban, and rural students and teachers to improve instruction in all areas (especially mathematics) for students of all abilities. I have experience as an adjunct professor in university programs for classroom teachers pursuing mathematics specialist endorsements as well as teachers pursuing advanced degrees and/or endorsements in administration and supervision. I hold a core belief in the capacity of human beings of all ages to exhibit curiosity and to search for understanding and that core belief has guided my career in education. A quality education develops life-long habits of mind that emerge from asking questions, developing insights, practicing skills, and incorporating personal artistry as we grow and learn. Learning is an interactive experience that develops cognition and, ideally, interpersonal skills and awareness as well. A quality education affects the vitality of the individual and, ultimately, the vitality of the individual's world. I am proud to be a small part of such an important field: learning and teaching!
