As a full time barista, I would make all of the drinks that we have on our menu including alcoholic beverages. Other duties would include stocking various items, constantly cleaning the cafe, manning the till, developing personal connections with customers, and cashing out my till at the end of my shift.

I helped to start a student led on-campus group that aimed to offer support for LGBTQ+ students that attended Ambrose University. Our meetings were held once a month, and were always confidential and as such, I had to write up a confidentiality agreement for anyone who attended the meetings. For various meetings, I would bring in various speakers to touch on various topics on the intersection of sexuality and religion (as Ambrose is a conservative Christian University), and at one point I successfully ran a GoFundMe campaign to bring in a play at Ambrose for our group. Myself and my co-leader would meet with various faculty members to make sure that the group was doing well, and we would make sure that any student who attended the group, understood the various services that were at their disposal should they need more help.

In this role, I planned and organized all student events along with coordinating volunteers to make sure that these various events were able to run smoothly. These events ranged from smaller open mic events where students showcased their talents, to organizing a winter formal gala where I had to organize catering services, choose a menu, pay for a band and DJs, and organize various fun activities and photobooths. I was able to successfully have the highest percentage of student involvement and attendance in 4yrs, along with having one of the lowest budgets for my role in 4 years.
