Vembushri R. is a Web Developer at Nuvation Energy. Colleagues describe them as "I had the greatest honour of working alongside Vembu during the 2021-22 year where Vembu created a custom website and ordering platform for Midnight Nursery. Vembu is a dear friend of mine since high school when we worked on many, many successful projects together while having the most fun doing it. Since high school, I have had the honour of watching Vembu grow into a phenomenal web developer through her studies at the University of Waterloo - where she studies and works with diligence, kindness, and nothing but the highest ethics. In Summer 2021, I asked Vembu if she would design a website for my summer project - Midnight Nursery (a plant nursery focused on empowering our community by donating our profits to local and international non-profits) on a pro bono basis. Not only did Vembu invest her time, energy and expertise in completing this project - she has acted as technical support throughout the nursery season well beyond the completion of the website - becoming a pivotal part of Midnight Nursery. Vembu is the best one-of-a-kind web developer not only because she possesses a strong skills foundation, but also because she is able to make her team and clients feel valued and respected. Vembu always writes down and implements edits quickly and cleanly as per client demands without any pushback or delay. She is able to interpret conceptual design ideas from a client with no coding experience and translate it into exactly what is envisioned. She listens intently and honours what is asked - clarifying and providing effective mockups when needed. Vembu has been the greatest addition to Midnight Nursery, and I gladly await the return of her positive energy during our upcoming season!"
