Juris Vencels is a former researcher, computer simulation consultant, and entrepreneur. He earned his M.Sc. in electrophysics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. During his research career, he contributed to numerous projects, including HPC software development for Scandinavia's fastest supercomputers and numerical method development for plasma physics at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the USA. He is the primary developer of EOF-Library, an open-source tool used in metallurgy and industrial plasma physics.Armed with over a decade of experience in electromagnetic, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer modeling, he helped many startups to validate technology. Nevertheless, most of those have failed faster and less costly thanks to this work. In early 2022, together with a business partner and software developer, Marks Kuncevics, co-founded TRAFOLO, a company focusing on magnetics design tools with a mission to make 3D simulation software a commodity that is accessible even for small companies. In my own words, I enjoy diving into customers' engineering challenges and solving them using physics and computational techniques. My expertise lies in creating cost-effective solutions based on open-source simulation software. With a strong background in optimizing existing manufacturing processes and developing new ones, I leverage my extensive experience in computer simulations to tackle complex problems swiftly. Connect with me to explore opportunities for collaboration and share insights into the dynamic world of sustainable energy solutions. To name a few benefits of simulations (virtual prototyping), they- shorten technology R&D cycle- boost creativity by allowing the testing of risky ideas- cut costs on wasteful physical prototyping- predict quality issues during the designing phaseIf you have a challenging problem that involves electromagnetism, then we can help with- Design optimization- Idea validation- Reverse engineering- Process analysisLet's keep in touch!
