Assesses, documents, and monitors patients’ condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions in a progressive Care Unit. Manages patients who requires both invasive and non-invasive oxygen delivery systems such as, ventilators , tracheostomies, bi-level positive airway pressure & continuous positive airway pressure machines, high-flow nasal cannula, and nasal cannula. Monitors and manages patients with chest tubes, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tubes, Foleys, nephrostomies, chest wall ports, and both peripheral and central lines. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse manager, case manager, and social worker.
