Venita Currie is a highly experienced community outreach and communications consultant who specializes in stakeholder engagement, media relations, and coalition building. Her expertise in public engagement was born out of her passion for helping communities make healthy choices. She has developed successful public education campaigns, product announcements, community assessments, and multi-cultural outreach efforts for a wide range of industries including mobility, health, mental health, technology, and natural resources. Venita is a former television journalist and a dedicated community volunteer. She serves on a statewide advisory committee for The Denver Foundation to assist with the distribution of $40M for behavioral health and substance use treatment services. Venita is also a board member for Mental Health Colorado, a non-profit, non-partisan advocacy organization. In this role, she oversees the organization's efforts to inform and shape public policy – including legislative, regulatory, and budgetary decisions.
