Profile bio

About Venkat Daita

I am a first year M.S. Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering student at the George Washington University interested in bio-inspired technologies for space systems such as fluids, systems, test engineering and many more fields in the aerospace industry. As a proud University of Pittsburgh alum, my bioengineering degree and internship experiences during my undergraduate career have built a strong and robust engineering foundation, which I can now harness utilizing my personal skillset to operate in the unique intersection between bio & aerospace engineering. During my time as a propulsions engineer in the Pitt SOAR Rocket team, I gained aerospace systems and rocketry skills, as well as furthering my SolidWorks, analytical simulation, manufacturing and most importantly large-team collaboration skills. In addition as an international intern at the National University of Singapore, I greatly strengthened my passion for sustainability through my project, research teamwork and public speaking and presentation skills. I strongly believe that knowledge and skills I gained are a critical aspect of the aerospace industry for long-term success. Now as a graduate researcher I am carrying my passion for contributing to industry and pioneering research at the LeBlanc Lab working on additive manufacturing of thermoelectric generators. Designing a thermoelectric filament that is both printable and thermally efficient enables me to think creatively to ideate potential ways to design and modify 3D printers and filaments to achieve successful integration into a thermoelectric generator.Feel free to reach out and connect, I am more than excited to talk about my experiences and all things aerospace!
