• Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial and monitor/manage a team of 4 employees.• Responsible for materials management inventory management, procurement and vendor development.• Responsible for procurement of basic raw materials & trading items and manage the commercial aspects of annual and semi-annual contracts. • Sourcing of bulk raw materials required for Glass Manufacturing like Soda Ash, Dolomite, Silica Sand, Limestone Powder etc., and packing materials like Shrink Bags, Trays with Longer commitment contracts.• Understanding Cost reduction from the technical / design angle and implement the same and reducing spares and stores inventory by studying the critical spares and stock holding. Communicate the same to the management by preparing Inventory tabulation forms and implementing the same.• Budget exercises – Working out Budgets with Engineers / Keeping tabs at the time of requests in comparison to Budgets / Comparison of Budget vs Actuals at the end of the Month and reporting of Variances etc.• Currently involved in Outlining the Strategic Savings Strategy for the entire Company based on the achievements under Electrical and Instrumentation Department under the guidance of Senior Manager – Commercial.Achievements• Leader of the Commodity Team to contribute on Cost Reduction and Vendor Development for Electrical & Instrumentation Department. Could able to show to the Management a reduction of 5% Spend from 2005-06 to 2007 – 08 in Electrical and Instrumentation Department. About 5 New Developed Vendors had been initiated to the Vendor Development Process.• Effectively reduced the Inventory Levels of the Non-Moving / Old items of Electrical & Instrumentation Departement to Aed 4.5 Million from Aed 5.5 Million.• Successfully completed in MS Project the basic plan of Completion of Re-build of the Furnace before March 11 and assisted in getting into agreements with M/s Sorg etc., and executed the same.

Responsibilities • Reported to the President – Finance, and led/managed a team of 6 employees.• Finalisation of Monthly Books of Accounts and presenting the same to the Management.• Finalisation of Yearly Group Books of Accounts with Auditors etc.• Integrated the procurement function with accounts through system, with auto entries generated at the time of data entry level itself.• Interacted with banks for the financial working capital requirements and routine communications for daily account maintenance.• Made all import purchases of the group independently including sourcing, negotiation, procurement, commercial and logistics. • Purchased fine chemicals used in manufacture of bulk drugs, and products from various other industries like breweries, starch, and textiles.• Managed procurement of all capital equipments requirements of the group along with their spares and consumables. • Visited China during March 2001 to evaluate the infrastructure, quality and re-negotiation of prices and conducted Vendor Audit at 6 supplier’s places.
