The Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) is the premier, privately funded, not-for-profit, business organization representing over 1000 members from the Canadian business and professional communities. It is a coast to coast organization with Business Councils in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax in addition to the head office in Toronto.I was instrumental in bringing the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce to Halifax and launching the Halifax Business Council. In this role, I am responsible for creating the strategic plan for the Halifax Business Council and implementing it. The plan also involves identifying strong partners and aligning our goals with theirs and achieving the set targets. The objective for council is to tap into the enormous economic opportunities that exist in India and leverage existing connections to create opportunities in Atlantic Canada

As a result, our members are well rounded and well informed.As Director – Membership Development, I am responsible for growing the membership of the organization and identifying opportunities for growth in new markets. I work closely with the President and Chair to ensure our strategic objectives related to membership are met. I am also the first point of contact for potential members and serve as a public relations officer in these circumstances.

As a Senior Consultant I was engaged in a project to do a current state assessment and create a plan for future electronic access at Land Services within the Department of Natural Resources.

- Managed all aspects of an Inbound trade mission from India and created opportunities for Canadian and Indian firms to work together.- Created and managed the Systems Improvement Program - The program contained multiple projects to ensure continued business success and operational efficiencies. - Brought Project Management Guidelines to other projects in the organization- Responsible for Vendor Management

The project objective was to replace the legacy systems with a COTS package. The BA role started off with gathering requirements, designing the solution architecture, preparing and releasing the RFPs, vendor evaluation and selection and the implementation of the solution.It later evolved into a Program Management role, with multiple projects under the PMO.

As a senior consultant I was engaged in near shore assignments for large financial clients from the NY region. The nearshore team was distributed across Halifax, St.John and Fredericton offices of DMR Consulting.

I was responsible for the Accounts Receivables Billing Support at Qwest Yellow Pages. Our team maintained the daily batches that would process the billing cycle and generate invoices. We also introduced several new billing reports and other procedures that improved operational efficiency of the entire system.

As a Consultant, I was deployed to client locations within Colorado for various projects. Some of the clients where I was involved in projects include Unipac, MCI Worldcom.

I was consulting for the Manitoba Telephone Systems (MTS) and worked on making the Billing systems of the yellow pages Y2K compliant.

As Software Engineer, I worked on offshore development of mainframe applications for a large UK based financial client
