As a passionate socialpreneur and angel investor, I devoted a large portion of the past three decades of my career to building a global business enterprise Olam Group, that evolved into a multibillion-dollar Fortune 500 firm. I have been associated with Olam Group since its time as a startup and went on to become the President and Global Head of Finance, managing over 200 employees across various geographical regions and creating a combined business worth S$ 32 billion. Olam Group now operates across 60 countries working with 5 million farmers, supplying a variety of products to more than 17,000 customers worldwide, and employing about 70,000 employees (both directly and indirectly). (about 28 years out of my 32 years of corporate life). Building a career that stemmed from my passion for entrepreneurship, I try to blend my entrepreneurial spirit with industry gained knowledge to tackle business problems head-on. I provide my insights and expertise to budding companies, aspiring entrepreneurs and helping them to go thru the process of Entrepreneur to Enterprise. Treasurer of Citizens consultative committee of Mountbatten constituency.I began my career as a Finance Manager at Travancore Oxygen Limited and then relocated to Indonesia for a brief stint of 2 years and involved in the establishing the south east Asian operations and then moved to Singapore in 1999, where I was granted citizenship in 2004 and have continued to work and live in this great nation, thriving to make a change and impacting people at every step of my life. In my understanding of excellence, I believe that anything we do that is purposeful touches lives positively and creates a legacy from the gains others earned.
