Highly experienced aeronautical engineer. Received his Masters degree on studies on in-flight simulation on training aircraft.After joining NLR became leading in a broad scope of defense related projects. Work involved both the technical and operational aspects of the field.Has led projects on on a variety of subjects all related to the operational analysis of airpower. These projects were performed for the Royal Netherlands Air Force involving experimental and theoretical work and direct support to operations.Furthermore he was and is involved in a large number of procurement projects for the RNLAF as an expert on various topics. Currently a member of the NATO System Analysis and Studies (SAS) panel. As a former programme manager of several research programmes for the Royal Netherlands Air Forces, he has a broad overview of the capabilities of airborne platforms and their operational environment. From this perspective he has contributed to various national strategic studies on air power. Proven managerial experience as a department head and as programme manager with the ability to lead complex projects. As a programme manager he benefits very much from his operational experience and his ability to explain complicated matters to non-experts customers.
