He is the executive director of Sónar Festival, a pioneering urban festival that takes place annually in Barcelona since 1994, and has expanded internationally to 65 cities around the world. He is also the co-founder of Sónar+D, a congress of creativity, technology and business that runs concurrently to the Barcelona festival and other events throughout the year. In addition, Ventura is a partner of a global education group that offers digital learning and transformation programs, and a shareholder and board member of an artisan bread company. Ventura holds a degree in law from the University of Barcelona, and a master degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
