I have been responsible for developing renewable energy and agriculture projects in rural and economically depressed areas working with a variety of economic development players, vendors, partners, and suppliers. Much of my work during the past three years has focused on agricultural economic development of commercial scale projects that leverage advances in energy technologies, drones, food aggregation/processing/distribution, and restorative agriculture. I was also responsible for designing net zero energy climate controlled greenhouse and mushroom cultivation buildings along with solar power, energy efficiency, and energy storage systems for multiple projects. I completed site surveys and analysis for over 200 potential solar project sites ranging from 30 KW to 10+ MW in size, including one project evaluating the solar potential for two school districts in SW Virginia.

Empire State Greenhouses, LLC (ESG), a subsidiary of Chobe Advisers, LLC, is developing a high impact closed loop energy & agriculture projects with an Environmental, Social & Governance approach. Located in Cobleskill, NY, ESG is currently developing a sustainable vertical agriculture project to mass-produce up to 50 different types of Certified Organic, New York Grown & Certified crops year-round in renewable-energy powered, 95% water efficient greenhouses constructed on land leased from SUNY Cobleskill. ESG intends an academic partnership with SUNY Cobleskill via START-UP NY. The project will culminate in 380,000+ sq. ft. of fruiting crop, leafy green, herb and mushroom growing space in three greenhouse units that include mushroom caves & a processing/pack facility. ESG will power this facility with solar, geothermal, a biogas digester. ESG Cobleskill is poised to be the sustainable, carbon negative, organic locally grown solution with an emphasis on providing enhanced security for the food system and supply chain.

I provided technology search and assessment services to a variety of U.S. government agencies, defense prime contractors, and investors. I completed technical and financial due diligence on hundreds of potential portfolio companies and technologies from China, Japan, Poland, United Kingdom, France, Israel, Germany, Sweden, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Russia, and the United States. I managed the pilot project that served as a proof of concept that helped the company win over $8 million worth of technology search and development contracts from NASA and the Department of Defense.

Managed day-to-day finance, budgeting, strategic planning, due diligence of potential incubation investments and valuation of investments for this Internet incubator developing a variety of streaming media and digital rights management projects. Galileo was a Webridge Ventures portfolio company.

Performed venture capital due diligence of proposed portfolio investments in Internet, New Media, and eCommerce startups for a regional $25 million venture capital fund.

Provided due diligence, financial analysis, and deal pricing analysis for a variety of banking and energy company clients. Developed corporate cashflow models to price, evaluate, and restructure oil & gas, refining, and electric utility corporate finance transactions. Typical projects included a $500 million refinery project, a Canadian oil & gas exploration project, several mining companies, and a multibillion dollar electric utility acquisition.
