Artistry exists within all of us. My goal is to spend a lifetime honing this skill in, not confined to a single medium, yet curate a body of work that leaves an impact on people. I make art to make people feel as I felt when I was an audience to the most profound works of art I have encountered over the past 18 years. Films, photos, poems, books, STORIES, are magic to me. At least the good ones are. And simply put, they save me everyday from a massive descent into madness. I run a social media page called “Diary of a striving artist”, where I document the real and raw struggles an upcoming artist faces in NYC trying to make it big, and I also post my work there. I do concept photography, film direction, writing and explore the beauty of the intensely tragic.I once read a quote that changed my perception of artists and artistry: create art based on experiences (be it your own or of others) but you must live life to do this. And that is what I try to do. Live life, tell stories about real people, raw emotions, true experiences and make people feel. The greatest artists have made people feel. I want to be an artist who may die unknown, but if 50 or more years down the line, a girl like me looks at my work and it impacts her or evokes something within her, I will know that all of this work was not a waste.
