I worked in a clinical proteomics laboratory. The research group was new. When I started, the lab was mostly empty. I was in charge of setting up the laboratory which includes procuring the equipment and supplies, planning the layout, and supervising installations. Currently, the lab is operational and we have worked on optimizing our protocols for quantitative proteomics. This includes protein extraction from tissue samples, protein digestion and desalting, TMT labeling, fractionation using HPLC, mass spectrometry, and bioinformatic analysis.

I taught General Chemistry I (lecture and lab), General Chemistry II (lab), and Biochemistry (lab) classes. I was the General Chemistry lab coordinator from 2016-2017. My responsibilities include arranging the class schedule every semester, finalizing the class syllabus, reproducing the lab manuals, coordinating with the lab technicians regarding the release of reagents to the labs, assigning exam contributions to my co-instructors, finalizing all lab exams, and leading the lab manual revision.I was also the head of the Junior Faculty Socials Committee from 2017-2018, in charge of organizing Junior Faculty events such as Christmas parties and institute-wide events such as retirement parties.
