I am an electrical engineer with focus on power. I am interested in the power field because of my curiosity about transmission lines and substations. That curiosity drove me to choose my major and become an electrical engineer. Now, I am a Site Electrical Engineer at Multi-Plastics Extrusion, Inc. I am responsible for the power distribution system, Arc Flash assessment, and Infrared scanning. In Fall 2020-Spring 2021, I worked with TRC on my senior project. That project gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about transmission lines and relays, especially distance relay. This was a great opportunity for me to improve my knowledge in the power field. As a part of the power field, I am most interested in renewable energies. I have done different researches on solar power and solar panels. Also, I had a chance to visit a dam with an electrical engineer and learn about the base process of the hydroelectric energy. I found renewable energies so interesting and working in that field became my dream. Additionally, in summer 2020, I got an internship at Myers Emergency Power Systems where I learned a lot about power electronics. I also gained experience with AutoCAD and Express PCB software. My main job there was updating different schematics and designing, building, and testing different PCBs. Beside that, I had a chance to visit NTS and experience the EMI and EMC tests in their company.
