Pursuing a fashion degree at Kent State University made me understand the passion I always had for fashion and styling. Throughout my schooling, I attribute my eye for detail and creativity to my younger self and her untamed imagination when it came to the fashion shows and outfits I created out of things others may never think to use. Starting as a Part-time manager at Express Factory Outlet allowed me to experience not only leadership but also gain confidence and experience in fashion. This position helped me to better understand style, technology, customer service, management, and merchandise floorset. I carry these lessons and the confidence I learned from this position and the people there to grow myself and my skills.I’m also privileged to be Vice President at Her Campus at Kent State University. This leadership position has allowed me the opportunity to manage social media accounts, write nationally posted articles, coordinate and organize tons of events, and work with tons of hardworking and talented young women around me. Working on a team full of wildly intelligent women taught me the value of proper communication and collaboration in working toward a common goal. I strive to make a difference in my community every day I continue this role. These have contributed to my professional development as well as my personal development and goals. As I continue through my degree, I practice resilience, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork to achieve my goals and be successful in my endeavors.
