Assisted in planning and implementing the partnership with Voyager Tennis Academy and spearheaded parent engagement and educational programmes in the tennis ecosystem. I was the primary liaison for tennis parents and also assisted in the Australian coaches' assimilation into Singapore. I helped guide the relationships among the various stakeholders – SportsSG, Voyager, the local tennis communities and the key players in the Australian market.

Founding member of Web in Travel and continued in both full time and part time basis. Helped to conceptualise Asia’s first dedicated travel technology trade conference that has gone on to win awards. Also part of editorial team that provides content for the news media platform of the same name. Have managed the WiT startup pitch competition for the travel industry on the WiT event platform since conception.Part of the team that organised and hosted the world’s first hybrid travel trade conference in 2020.Conducted numerous interviews with C-level executives of global MNCs and startups alike in the travel industry for stories.

I was Sabre Airline Solutions' media relations consultant for APAC for 10 years. My responsibilities included creating brand awareness and establishing thought leadership positions for Sabre amongst the media fraternity in Asia Pacific. I worked directly with the business units within the organisation to help them achieve business outcomes through media relations in the region.

Edited and reported on technology in the travel industry for a Pan-Asian travel trade publication, TravelWeekly. I was also in the project management team for Travelweeklyweb.com, a portal for travel trade professionals, and its predecessor, Travelweeklyeast.com. Public speaking engagements• Invited to speak at the Canadian Tourist Commission’s workshop for Canadian suppliers on the Asian travel marketplace held annually in Singapore.• Acted as a moderator for a panel on online travel trends at the Travel Agents Exchange, a regional trade conference held in Singapore in 2001.Conference organisation• On the team that developed a day-long conference on travel technology, organised by the Singapore chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association in 2000. • On the organisational team of the annual Travel Agents Exchange, a regional trade conference held in Singapore from 2001 – 2002. The conference was jointly organised and owned by the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore and Reed Business Information Asia. Awards managementConceived and organised the first regional travel trade web awards. The TravelWeekly Golden Web Awards attracted several hundred entries for each of the two years it ran. I put together and coordinated the efforts of an international panel of judges and was involved in the shortlisting of the entries. I also put together the awards presentation event that was attended by senior management from winning global organisations.Co-organised the TravelWeekly Innovators Awards in 2001 which recognised top innovators in the regional travel trade, culminating in a gala presentation.

Covered the travel trade news in Singapore for TravelAsia. Appointed editor of the annual Travel Technology Guide for Travel Agents.Travelled internationally for media trips, conferences and trade shows. Was part of the team producing show dailies for various travel trade events. Interviewed CEOs and senior management in travel companies globally.

Cub reporter for Travel Trade Gazette Asia, after having completed a three-month editorial trainee programme. Covered the travel trade news for Singapore and was part of the show daily team for a variety of regional travel trade shows. Completed a two-month stint in Hong Kong, as part of an editorial exchange programme. During that period from September to October 1994, covered the local travel trade news in Hong Kong.

Part time work as an English tutor in a developmental English laboratory with international college students, handicapped students and college athletes. Worked about 13 hours a week while pursuing undergraduate degree. Assisted in the development of English language skills for foreign students; also tutored American collegiate athletes, and handicapped students, including those with dyslexia.
