Responded to Letters of Technical Direction (LOTDs) on a daily basis to handle rapid deployment, emergencies, infrastructure support, procurement and more. Served on the Board of Directors for the corporation as the Assistant Secretary. Prepared MIL for its initial Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR). Supported Accounting & Finance, including resolution of unbilled receivables and past due invoices. Initiated closeout process to expedite backlog, and developed "At Risk" process for minimizing corporate risk. Monitored Level of Effort (LOE) for all CPFF-LOE contracts to meet contractual requirements and avoid fee penalties.

Leader of diverse contracts team supporting fast pace Enterprise Information Technology Solutions (EITS) business with approximately 100 active contracts, including the Global Information Grid (GIG) Services Management (GSM) - Operations (“GSM-O”) contract to provide support to the Defense Information System Network (DISN) and associated networking capabilities via the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) which acts as the provider of GIG/DISN services to the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations.

Hired as a senior level individual contributor in 1996; promoted to Manager of Contracts and assigned large staff of direct reports in March 2001; promoted to Senior Manager of Contracts in July 2001; then promoted again to Director in 2002.Hands on working Director for team of 52 professionals (43 individual contributors and 11 managers) who were responsible for handling contracts, subcontracts, business practices, GSA matters, proposal activity, software licensing and software migration for a substantially sized business unit of Oracle Corporation which supported federal, state and local government, higher education, and health care accounts. Key accomplishments including 0% turnover during a major corporate reorganization that lasted over 12 months; and 0% unexpected revenue recognition or sales deferral issues across entire team during same highly stressful time period.

Conducted internal audits, determined work assignments for team, handled salary discussions, awards/recognition, and departmental disciplinary actions. Directed a team of professionals who performed value driven contracts and purchasing functions from cradle to grave. Participated in the start up of the Planet1 personal satellite communications (PSC) project to assist the U.S. Government with better phone technology in under-developed countries throughout the world. Supported the commercial business unit, COMSAT Video Enterprises (CVE), which provided pay-per-view and free-to-guest (e.g. HBO, Showtime, etc.) programming contracts to 1200 hotel chains across the United States. At that time, CVE owned the Denver Nuggets NBA team and the Colorado Avalanche NHL team. My team also supported overflow contractual and purchasing activities of both professional sports teams.
