While at Andela, some of the project that I had a chance to work with include: 1. Hall of Fame (HOF) (August 2019 - Sep 2019)A social site by Andelans for Andelans to connect and plan for challenges and other fun non-work related activities. As a backend developer, we worked with Django to create API endpoints that were consumed by the front-end team to bring the product to life.2. Converge(May 2019 - August 2019)Converge is an internal product used for resource management. In coordination with the front-end and mobile team, my role as a backend developer working with Flask / GraphQL to develop an API for consumption by the other teams. Some of the most notable contributions as a team member while working on this product was to have had a chance to work closely with the team lead to troubleshooting aspects of the application to improve application performance in general. During this task, I also had a chance to contribute to some of the architectural aspects of Converge as a product which proved to be very helpful during the public release of the product.3. Authors Haven(November 2018 - February 2019)It is a platform that creates a community of like-minded authors to foster inspiration and innovation by leveraging the modern web.Worked on an agile oriented team where we had daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprints, and retrospectives to bring the product to life. We worked as a team using several technologies mainly JavaScript / React and Python /Django. Agile software development tools such as git/ GitHub and Pivotal Tracker were some of the tools that we made use of.
