In current team:In December I changed teams inside LexisNexis and moved from Legal to Tax. In my new team, I have the role of the Technical Lead of one of the three squads. Our current focus is the build of the new application for Tolley Library and Tolley Guidance. During a sprint, I focus on overall delivery of our goal, delivery of value to our customers, health of our applications and continuous improvement of our codebase and systems. I am also actively writing code and working on stories in each sprint pair programming with my colleagues, doing code checks, peer reviews and QA of stories. In previous team:I took the opportunity offered to me to be a Tech Lead, for one of the sub teams of the UK Search team. The team consisted of 6 developers, including myself. We are working closely with product owners, agile delivery manager and search analysts. I focused on building a team of happy, collaborative and passionate to learn members. Researched and experimented with best practices suitable for my team. Recently the search teams merged to focus on the build of the new search engine using Solr. Git with Bitbucket was used for version control and TeamCity for CI. For data storage, MarkLogic was the choice, where I gained experience writing XQuery. Familiarized myself with Scrum and Kanban methodologies. In the course of a year in the new department, I performed very well and have received 2 recognition awards.
