After getting an education about the mess we were in I became obsessed with the power of creativity and the stories we tell.I believe in a cultural democracy where everyone has the right and responsibility to take part in making culture. Straight out of my graduate diploma in Community Cultural Development I worked for 6 years in local council and honed my skills.Now with the combined history of community activism, education and experience I left the safety of local council and set flight as a creative producer.I found a happy home at illuminart where the team and I found with our powers combined we could do great things and together have delivered major projects with lofty ambitions, including Geriactivists and Port to Port, which won best regional event at the Australian event awards for Travelling Light.After working with illuminart for many years as a creative producer, I have worked with the management team to develop organisational systems and structures leading me to become the COO (Chief cat herder) for the company.As the COO at illuminart I successfully coordinate a team of artists, producers and technologists to develop high quality and engaging illumination art
