I absolutely love video games. The one thing I love more than playing games, is making them. When I was young, playing Tony Hawk for the first time had me interested in more than just the skateboarding. I wondered how it calculated score, how it simulated the push off. I wondered how this magic computer box could make skateboarding even cooler than it already was. I wished that the crayon sketches that I scribbled during recess could become the grind-rails and half-pipes on the CRT in the living room. After working with the teachers at my high school to create educational virtual experiences, I enrolled at RIT for the very purpose of making video games. During my time, I've taken classes (obviously), won a game jam, and became the Operational Director of RIT Esports. Through the years of schooling I've realized with each project that I'm not pursuing game design only for myself: I hope to one day create games that inspires the children of the future not just partake in the experience of video games, but to aspire to become the creator.
