I have had many years of experience within the NHS whilst nursing and later during my health visiting career to develop and demonstrate my safeguarding and assessment skills and have the ability to communicate with clients and professionals at all levels. Counselling has always been an integral part of my professional life and I have developed the skills and experience to work effectively with the complex and diverse needs of my clients. I have a passion for encouraging individuals to recognise their inner strengths whilst exploring and challenging those patterns of behaviour which negatively affect their life-choices, and the impact on their self worth, physical and mental well-being. I have gained a wealth of experience working with clients through all types of relationship difficulties, including physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I presently volunteer has a counsellor at the Trust House Reading a registered charity and member organisation of the Survivors Trust that provide free counselling for people who have been affected by sexual abuse or rape, either recently or in the past.
