Provide key, priority institutional customers Outcomes Research (OR) support that is aligned with the specialty business unit and Pfizer objectives. Specifically, support business unit brand team goals through: (a) support for therapeutic area opinion leaders in OR at regional medical institutions and other important medical customers as appropriate for regional and national medical needs/impact, and (b) design and implementation of quality customer specific OR projects at regional medical institutions and other important medical customers by establishing collaborations with clinical and OR thought leaders and facilitate communication between regional priority medical institutions and outcomes research leaders and headquarters OR and headquarters medical affairs and contribute to the development of OR strategies. Develop and present budget, evaluate program accomplishments, and recruit and maintain a diverse team. Additional leadership activities include managing three teams through adjusting to scale and maintain innovation during significant staff reduction, product loss of exclusivity and changing landscape of health care delivery system.

Director, Cardiovascular Health Research Program and Research Associate Professor: Created vision and set direction for Cardiovascular Health Research Program though strategic planning to increase organizational effectiveness and aligned and secured grant resources for to build and maintain the Program. Conducted epidemiologic and health services research in the areas of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), diabetes, racial and ethnic disparities in health, and disease prevention, and women’s health issues. Directed the National Heart, Lung,and Blood Institute funded Cardiovascular Health Research Program and managed the staff of 10 colleagues.Collaborate on the conduct epidemiologic and health services research and grant preparation and review in the areas of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), diabetes, racial and ethnic disparities in health, and disease prevention, and women’s health issues. Managed over $5 million program budget from national and private sources.
