As an entrepreneur and corporate business executive, I have more than 45 years of experience in management, marketing, sales, exhibition operations and finance. In 1974, at age 19, I founded a chain of retail sports-wear stores in Florida. Five years and 14 stores later I sold my interest to pursue a career in business publishing and trade shows. The early days were spent building the Imprinted Sportswear Industry. Two years later the company was sold to Gralla Publications of New York, where I began my corporate career. Gralla sold to United News and Media who in turn used Gralla as a platform company in the U.S. to build a significant portfolio of business magazines and trade shows, of which Miller Freeman Inc. was one. Ten years later at 35, it was my pleasure to serve as Senior Vice President of Miller Freeman Inc, managing the most profitable division of the company while also serving on its Board of Directors. In addition I served on the Executive Counsel for Strategic Planning for United News and Media. Over a 45 year business career, I have been blessed to have successfully launched, co-founded and consulted many businesses in publishing, conferences, exhibitions, commercial real estate and Internet services. My wife of 45 years and I live in Frisco, TX. so we can be near our granddaughter.
