I have limited my practice to functional cranio-facial orthopaedics and orthodontics with an emphasis on airway development and full profiles with wide smiles. I don't believe in the wholesale extraction of permanent teeth that still seems to be done by some orthodontists. I work closely with osteopaths, chiropractors, naturopaths and podiatrists. I have an holistic approach to my treatment protocols. I don't believe that I can be labeled as a general dentist as I do not perform all aspects of dentistry. I have limited my practice to orthodontics and therefore, by definition and in an attempt to be truthful I suppose I have to call myself an orthodontist. However, I am not a registered specialist orthodontist. What I am really is a tongue space maker!
