My last position at Central was Sr. Liability Large Loss Specialist, which is responsible for direct file handling of large casualty losses, involving property damage and bodily injury as related to Homeowners, Commercial and Personal auto, Commercial General Liability, Products/Completed Operations, Personal and Advertising Injury, Construction Defect, and Excess.My career at Central began with one year as a claim representative multi line, and progressed to two years as claim rep. Sr. multi-line, 7 years as Claims Supervisor multi-line, and with the following 20+ years as Sr. Liability Claims Specialist/Supervisor. The previous Sr. Liability Claims Specialist position was responsible for meeting regional claims dept. goals in casualty outstanding, suit outstanding, average paid, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation expense. In addition, the position involves supervision of mid to high exposure commercial and personal lines claim files, as handled by all claim reps. in the department. The position is responsible as direct supervisor for the Liability Specialist. All requests for authority above the claim rep. authority were previously directed to this position. The position was responsible for; proper handling of all casualty files by the claim representatives in the department., the supervision of all approved outside counsel. training and development of the liability specialist, and for all other members of the department who are in the liability claims specialist training program. The duties of this position include direct handling of high exposure casualty personal and commercial policy claim files.
