Sony MusicI got onboard as Creative Director and Consultant for Sony Music Malaysia & Singapore with the primary role of creating a Co-Branded Intellectual Property (IP) under the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) segment. From the initial conceptualisation to the presentation to various Brands and Advertising agencies, the IP was well received and proceeded to receive Regional recognition, including an introduction to the Music Matters Conference. Along with the primary role, I served as the CD in the development of Malaysian & Singaporean acts, including the personal branding of the various artistes, the development and direction of their Music & Music Video’s. Engaged and facilitated various business collaborations with consumer brands to create co-promotions.

EMI MusicI initially took up a position under the Domestic department to handle external business development in order to increase the department revenue.After six months - I actively pivoted the direction from the classic business model to facilitate the creation of a new department, EMI Entertainment, which was responsible for all non-traditional business.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, I was instrumental in advising on the direction of the local music landscape and also involved in the branding and direction for the local music scene.Created and lead a team that was focused on developing external revenue structures through the direct management of artistes, sponsorship, corporate endorsements, branded product creations that encompassed the entire Music Catalogue.In three months as a HOD, the department grew from NIL revenue to a SEVEN digit revenue. By then, I was included in all business tie ups involving Advertising, Media, Entertainment & MNC + GLC and Ministry initiatives. The departments'​ efforts in creating Self Branded products, merchandise and events lead to the stabilisation of the then RED Business net's of EMI.
