I first fell in love with international development volunteering with the Australian Red Cross' Migration Support Program. Since then I have worked in the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia in youth development, literacy education, mental health, and financial inclusion. Completing my Master of International Development Practice at Monash University has complemented my hands on development work, giving me experience in research and theories of development. My main interests include women's education and empowerment, refugee rights, and mental health. I love project coordination and working directly with the community.

Field Support OfficerGood Return Sep 2022 - Mar 2024Phnom Penh, CambodiaMy main focus has been the project coordination and design for phase 2 of the "Let's Talk Money: Little by Little" campaign in partnership with the National Bank of Cambodia. It was incredible bringing financial literacy education to women garment factory workers across the country in both rural and urban areas. Project design and coordination is my favourite part of my role- I love being hands on working with my local counterparts and partners. I also assist the Program Team with field monitoring visits for our financial capability programs, including leading participant interviews and photography, conducting research, and representing Good Return as a guest speaker and attendee at regional conferences and events. -
Student Services OfficerMonash University May 2019 - Sep 2022Melbourne, AustraliaI primarily worked face-to-face with students to assist with their course planning. I enjoyed being able to connect with students and help them achieve their academic goals. I also performed high level administrative tasks such as organising course completions for 1000+ students each semester and assessing internship and unit applications. To do this I gained a high level of experience in information systems such as Salesforce (UniCRM), HP Records Manager (TRIM). Callista, and Microsoft Office programs. -

Community Education PromoterPeace Corps Mar 2015 - Dec 2016Mahaica-Berbice, GuyanaAs a PCV, I co-designed and facilitated the Youth Leadership and Empowerment program in partnership with the Region 5 Child Protection Agency. Our focus was on educating at risk youth between 14 and 18 about mental health, suicide prevention, positive self-esteem building, and healthy coping mechanisms. Seeing our students build their confidence and positive coping skills was a great experience. I also co-taught Grade 1 for the first year of service, and led literacy interventions to students grades 1-5 at Hopetown Primary School throughout my two years at there.
