About Veronica Ames
I'm a mother, housewife, and advocate of recovery from all that ails us. My husband and I have been together for over 22 years and spend every single day recovering from the effects of addiction and poor nutrition. We want to share the things we've learned and give back to the community that gives us so much support when we need it. I believe that Harm-Reduction, Housing and Community All-At-Once will be the pinnacle movement for lasting change. We can only help the living; meet them where they're at. We all deserve to be treated as human beings. Shelter and food are absolute necessities and should never be denied to anyone. Community connection weaves a web of support so that nobody faces anything alone. Community gardens are a very healthy way to provide good food, connection with others, physical exercise, and plenty of sunshine and fresh air. I believe that if we change the way we eat, it will change the way we think and feel, and everything else will heal.
