Managed linear and non linear programming Nat Geo Mundo, a US cable network offering renowned content from National Geographic. Day-to-day operations, original content development and customization supervision.

Secure and develop new production projects. Thanks to my industry expertise and contacts, I spearhead long form projects for coveted clients Discovery Channel and National Geographic Spanish language channels, on budget and on time. I assembled production crews and supervised scripts, developed budgets and went on-location as production supervisor. On a shoot in Taxco, MX we got caught between police and cartel chase!

Project based. Branded Entertainment Team. With staff producers on leave, I seamlessly stepped in as content supervisor of branded projects. Trailer development and scripts while strengthening effective relationships with producers in US and Latin America.

My clients got what they needed: be it media industry analysis, conference development, website content creation in English and Spanish, transcreation, post production supervision. Projects included: an NGO publication, a bilingual kids animated series, and curriculum development for academic initiative to train 16 aspiring telenovela scriptwriters.

Identified opportunities for placement of original TV formats in the US and Latin America. Meetings with TV executives of major US TV and cable networks on format customization. Initiated and completed programming sale to Discovery En Español, and production services to VH-1 and Discovery Latin America. Created a weekly in-house newsletter with analysis and leads into the US media industry. Concept development of all new bilingual sales materials: flyers, format description, promos.

Directed day-to-day operations and strategy of two distinctive television brands under stringent timelines always delivering programming schedules on time. Successfully managed P&L of $6M covering acquisitions, scheduling, development and production of 500 programming hours.

Executive Producer of the first global medical news television series Living Pulse (Planeta Médico), a co-production of Discovery Asia, Canada, UK and Latin America. Created an integrated process for language and graphic customization of 1800 programming hours/year (3 networks) into Spanish and Portuguese under tight schedule. Devised a process to produce Spanish and Portuguese program versions simultaneously. Managed and oversaw department budgets averaging $3M annually. Identified savings of 500K by establishing cost-cutting procedures in post-production projects. Reduced costs by 15%.
