With a rich background in Interventional Nursing and a passion for improving patient care, I’ve dedicated my career to making a difference in the healthcare field. At Austin Radiological Association, I manage everything from patient assessments and care coordination to optimizing workflows and compliance with Medicare criteria. My role is all about ensuring the best outcomes for our patients while also training and supporting Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to excel in their roles.I’m particularly proud of leading initiatives that blend clinical education with practical application. For example, I was instrumental in transitioning our department to an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, which enhanced the accuracy of patient records and streamlined our documentation processes. I also took the lead in creating educational resources, like video tutorials and self-assessment surveys, which have helped extend our reach and improve patient support.Before joining Austin Radiological Association, I spent nearly two decades at Ascension Healthcare, where I led a team of six Interventional Radiology nurses. My focus was on providing top-notch patient care, implementing safety protocols, and driving process improvements. From introducing color-coded labels to ensure safety in sterile fields to managing the transition from paper to electronic charting, my goal has always been to enhance the efficiency and quality of care.
