At a young age there were two things about myself that were crystal clear, I loved helping people and I was interested in law. For years I was involved in Girl Scouts, Student Council and various sports teams. My participation in these activities allowed me to develop the skills of leadership, listening to others, teamwork, determination, self-reliance, the acceptance of defeat with dignity and compassion for others.Over time I honed my skills while my interest for law grew into a passion. As an undergrad I knew my career would need to involve both my abilities and passion for me to be fulfilled. I received my B.A. in Political Science and went on to receive a Masters of Legal Studies with a focus on Sustainability.After working in a law firm for a few years I decided to take my career in an unexpected direction, I accepted a position at a small start-up construction company. This experience exposed me to a new world that I have grown to appreciate and love. Understanding construction has given me the opportunity to serve at both a water utility and gas utility, which has allowed me to broaden my credentials and experience. I have taken an interest and worked in Risk Management, Healthy & Safety, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Management and Supplier Diversity.I am proud to say in every avenue of my career I have been able to assist and help others. I have had the benefit of serving on teams where we worked together to achieve a common goal. I’m capable of working independently on projects where I obtain personal goals and growth because I am always eager, willing and striving to learn more.I have worked hard and am grateful for the amazing opportunities reflected in my resume. I continue to utilize my talents, abilities, strengthens and passion to be my best self for me and the organization I work for.
