I am passionate about teaching and watching people grow in knowledge and confidence. I believe it is important for people to add to their skills constantly, and I am excited to facilitate it.I got a B.Sc. (Computer Science and Geology) degree at Rhodes University and a Higher Education Diploma from UNISA(IT and maths). I taught high school Computer Studies where my love for teaching developed.My first data job was producing plotted visuals for geophysical seismic data at Alglovaal. A few years later, I became a junior DBA and network support for Edcon from 1985 to 1989, where I met and married Howard Diesel. I then moved to IBM as a Systems Engineer and later taught high school Computer studies. Modelware Systems was started in 2003 by Howard Diesel. I initially got involved in the company's admin and finance while homeschooling four children. After that, I became a trainer for Modelware.I have CDMP (Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Modelling & Design) and DMZ Data Modelling Certification.I became the DAMA SA Director of Education in 2019. My mission is to enable many data professionals to CDMP certify, so I created the Modelware Data Management for Certification course.
