I started Groat Communications to enjoy more flexibility, to partner with organizations who share similar values, and to work with content I love! I have 20+ years of progressive experience across a range of industries: oil and gas, post-secondary education, healthcare philanthropy and transportation. I've done it all as a generalist but I get most excited about employee/internal communications, employee wellbeing and engagement, strategic planning and counsel, event management, and anything where we get to inject some creativity and fun. I'm genuinely passionate about mental health and wellness which is inspired by my lived experiences. I want to help people in and out of the workplace show up as their best selves. And with a 7YO autistic and gender non-confirming child, I'm motivated to educate and increase awareness and acceptance about autism, neurodiversity and loving people for their uniqueness.
