I worked as the post mistress for the community of Point O Woods on Fire Island. I managed the mail room by myself, meaning keeping track of and scanning in every piece of mail and sorting it by house number. My role was to keep the space organized and ensure every piece of mail was consistently entered properly for incoming and outgoing mail.
