My name is Veronica Boyd, I graduated cum laude from the University of Mary Washington in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. During my time there I obtained an exceptional liberal arts education focused on critical thinking and open-mindedness.While enrolled, I worked for the Psychology Department as a statistics tutor, working closely with both students and statistics professors. I also spent the majority of my final years working with three other students, and the then Psychology Department Chair, on research in Emerging Adulthood. We were lucky enough to have our research findings accepted and presented at the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood conference in November 2017. I worked in customer service, hospitality and both travel and warehouse direct sales after college, where I gained some valuable interpersonal skills and learned a lot about myself. That experience culminated in Hospitality Management for a corporate restaurant from 2018 to 2020. I expanded to retail in 2020 as a Lead Associate Supervisor for the Virginia Alcohol and Beverage Control Authority (VAABC). I currently maintain that position part-time and am the Sales Delivery Coordinator for Camping World RV in Thornburg, Virginia full-time. My array of experience throughout various professional settings is one of my biggest strengths. I pride myself on being diligently devoted to my responsibilities and fostering success in others.I am always looking forward to expanding myself professionally and learning new things. I am a quick study, appreciate a challenge, and am exceptionally organized and determined. When hired I waste no time obtaining the knowledge I need to become an asset to any team and organization.
