USAID is the world’s premier international development agency and a catalytic actor driving development results. USAID’s work advances U.S. national security and economic prosperity, demonstrates American generosity, and promotes a path to recipient self-reliance and resilience. In Veronica’s role, she leads management assessments for major Agency projects with high political sensitivity and budgets ranging from under $100K to over $1B. She also serves as a contracting officer representative and provides consultative services to executive leadership, working groups, bureaus and offices around the Agency.

The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service manages all federal payments and collections, and provides government-wide accounting and reporting services. In Veronica’s role, she oversaw performance management reporting for seven divisions with comprehensive program portfolios with a total value amounting to more than $4T. Veronica also led the development of the Bureau’s strategic plan and oversight of the contract team supporting its development.

GSA's Office of Government-wide Policy (OGP) provides forward-thinking policy, guidance, and best practices in federal property, technology, mission support operations, and sustainable solutions for the current and future government. In this role, Veronica was selected to serve as performance manager on a special assignment. She led a project team supporting the Office of Management and Budget on the President’s Management Agenda for an IT federal payments initiative that resulted in a framework used to improve data quality for the federal payment collection process.

The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, created by an Act of Congress in 1987, is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. Using the Baldrige Criteria as an examiner, Veronica participated in an evaluation process that involved independent and virtual team consensus reviews of applications from organizations across the United States. In this role, Veronica worked with an examiner team to review applications, conduct site visits, and to write a report that provided feedback to applicants, helping to drive breakthrough organizational improvements.

The Office of the Chief Information Officer supports the HHS mission by leading the development and implementation of information technology infrastructure across the agency. In this role, Veronica led the team responsible for information technology interagency agreements and served as helpdesk support for portfolio management operations across 12 HHS Operating Divisions, including NIH, CMS, and CDC, with focus on improving information technology project and program effectiveness and efficiency. She also supported IT strategic planning and the creation of the IT policy team.
