Composes departmemtal correspondence and documents. Coordinates and completes administrative projects which may be of a confidential nature. Provides information on county policies and procedures to county employees and citizens. Conducts research, data collection, and analysis of information for use in reports, presentations and meetings. May supervise clerical and secretarial staff. Provides administrative support for any board or committee established and maintained by department. Prepare the board or committee's decision for presentation to the Board of County Commissioners. Records, transcribes and publishes from cassette tapes or written notes/formal board minutes. Prepares and distributes agendas.Transcribes, proofreads and edits complex reports. Receives, reviews and distributes plans or request for variance to the appropriate staff.Schedules meetings, prepares consolidation of reports for use by appropriate staff, consultants and other interested parties.Ensures appeals and public hearings request are handled in a timely manner. Interacts with elected officials, consultants, County staff members and the general public. Maintains data used in software applications, creates management reports and reviews information for compliance with County policy and procedures.Participates in emergency activities/response. Performs other related duties as assigned.
