▪ Trained in immunology and contributed to a multi-lab collaboration to investigate immunological and genetic impacts of low-doses of low-LET radiation and chemically induced lung cancer. ▪ Designed and conducted ex vivo cellular and molecular assays in a mouse model of lung cancer to evaluate cell proliferation, cytotoxicity, protein detection, DNA mutation, and mRNA expression. ▪ Performed radiological (Gammacell 1000 irradiator; Cs-137) and chemical (benzo[a]pyrene) exposures in murine models in accordance with safety guidelines. ▪ Mentored and provided technical guidance to undergraduate students during summer projects through teaching, developing milestones, and reviewing progress.
