My role is largely an operations / head of department role with responsibility for all non engineering apprenticeships. My remit includes budgets and planning, recruitment and onboarding, curriculum development and delivery, delivery systems and tracking as well as team leadership and quality within the department, including learner and employer experience. I also lead on the ESFA compliance across all apprenticeship provision.

Two fixed term roles, one after the other, and very similar in nature. Both ESFA funded Training Providers delivering apprenticeships, work based learning and pre-employment training. My roles were operations focussed in both cases.

Since joining learndirect the business was successful in securing significant ESF contracts. My role is initially was to support in implementation and then to run a new ESF funded regional contract. This grew as more contracts came on board and for the last 7 months I managed two regional ESF contracts, with responsibility for Direct Delivery and Supply Chain.

Throughout my time with Leaping Man I focused on developing 16-18 apprenticeship provision through setting up and running new sector specific business divisions.

After the success of setting up the Bedford IT Apprenticeship Academy, and supporting in setting up new 2 additional Academies, I worked exclusively on setting up new sites in order to support on the companies ambitious growth plans.

Self employed freelance facilitator working on single and multi day experiential learning programmes with clients of all ages. Programme aims included fun, team building, leadership development, personal development and skills development.

Oxygen focused exclusively on providing high impact events, workshops and training programmes to the business community. Clients included Microsoft, Fujitsu, Kellogg's, Welsh Water and Cooperative Financial Services. My role was that of a facilitator. Throughout my time I acted as both assistant and lead facilitator on numerous programmes in England, Ireland and Europe. Much of the training content related to leadership, management and building high performance teams.

Mostly Uk

Working in a self employed capacity I enjoyed working primarily with a combination of youth development groups and corporate groups. The latter tended to focus on either team or leadership development and include a combination of indoor and outdoor experiential learning activities which was grounded in relevant theory. The youth development tended to be with organisations like the Princes Trust where I had the pleasure of running numerous residential personal development programmes. These programmes focused on helping individuals and teams move forwards in their lives and address barriers.

Uk Mostly

Various contracts ranging from 2 months - 18 months in the field of Outdoor Learning and Development. I worked in a delivery capacity with groups of all ages and abilities on both single and multi day programmes. During this time I had the pleasure of working with many different types of groups, including prisoners in custody, youth groups on personal development programmes, school groups of all ages, corporate teams and expeditions in the uk and abroad.
