Veronica Sutherland is a supervisor at the Cellular Products Laboratory of UPMC Immunologic Monitoring and Cellular Products Laboratory (IMCPL), where she has been working for over 20 years. She is responsible for manufacturing cellular products using current good manufacturing and tissue practices (cGMP/cGTP), as well as developing translational research projects.With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from West Virginia University and multiple certifications, Ms. Sutherland has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of cellular therapy and immunotherapy. She supports new and existing clinical trials, prepares and reviews regulatory documents, supervises the clinical workload, and trains staff. She is well-versed in the accreditation standards and guidelines for FACT, CAP, CLIA, and FDA, and regularly participates in educational activities related to cellular therapy. She is passionate about advancing the science and practice of cellular therapy and improving the outcomes for patients.
